Here is ten minutes in the life of Lucky, our youngest pooch, and adopted child of my wife Sutiya.
1. A hapless Coco, current big daddy of the TEE Coffee Shop, digs for a mystery prize beside a rock. Who knows what it could be? Coco is happy.
2.Suddenly, a vicious surprise attack is launched by Lucky, a young bitch pup who vies for her share of the TEE Coffee Shop pie, and all the glory that it brings.
3. The onslaught is not pretty, Lucky overwhelms the larger, surprised Coco, and wrestles him into the bush with canny instinct and precision. It looks like curtains for Coco.
4. But Coco, being a more experienced brawler, manages to get a couple of sneaky hits on Lucky, who while still on top, decides it's time for her guerilla ambush to end, and she retreats from the grizzling Coco.
5. A beaten and bewildered Coco looks on, startled at the speed and ferocity of the attack. He is well peeved, and no doubt plotting some kind of heinous revenge on the mischevious Lucky. Or possibly he'll just sit and sniff his balls.
6. Lucky, basking in satisfaction and glory, sits a top of her rock throne, beast of the hill, king of the jungle, top man. It's her Coffee Shop now.
7. ......A noise behind catches her attention. A possible intruder? This is her god damn Coffee Shop, how DARE anyone enter her domain.
8. But alas, Lucky forgets. She is just a dumb mutt, with a very small head, and brain. As she goes to see off any intruder, she runs straight into a water feature that sits behind her rock throne.
9. A desperate Lucky clambers out of the water, total shock all over her face, with everyone around collapsing in laughter.
What an idiot haha.
10. And as she sits in the dirt, soaked, she is a very different Lucky from the one that, just moments earlier, had basked in victory at the defeat of Coco.
11. And the end of the story? Everyone gets covered in cack. Thanks Lucky, next time I will cheer Coco.

Ben it must be a thing with animals called Lucky. MTF has a rabbit by the same name who thinks he should bathe in my ponds only he can't get out!

Hey Mike, yeah, my suggestion, Sutiya's choice. I feel a little uneasy calling her 'Lucky,' as if I'm tempting fate. Oh well Mai Pen Arai eh. And thanks v much for the plug :)

Excellent shots TP. Nice to know you have a true photjournalist's instincts - just stand and click away during fights, drownings etc so the rest of us can have a laugh.

They are so funny. I could do it all day, they are always rucking and beating each other up. What cracks me up the most is Coco's face in 5. He is such a sap it's unreal LOL.

How hilarious! Animals are such great fun. I don't have dogs but the neighbours do. The smaller the dog, the more ferocious they act.
Btw - thanks for the add!

I just finished reading the post where you took the chewed up dog to the vet. I'm still laughing!
Yet another reason to learn Thai!
I remember back when I tried to get pills for snoring from the pharmacy in BKK.
I tried to act it out, with the whole store as my audience.
Lord knows what they thought I wanted in the end, but the more I snored, the more strange stuff they brought me.
The poor man never did get his relief ;-)

Heh heh yeah it was strange getting used to the language barrier when I first got here, I am a little better now. I carry around a Thai / English dictionary which doesn't exactly improve conversation, whilst I stand there looking up words, but nevertheless I get to what I want to say (most of the time). It's also helping me to memorise stuff, so it helps. Reading Thai is another story, one that I cannot even contemplate at the mo.
